Hi, I new to all of this so I need some help if you can.
I have a 1927 Super Six Sedan with wooden artillery wheels.
I have just got the car MOT'd and on the road and have now found that the (front?) wheels seem to shimmy at about 30mph leading to violent body shaking.
The only way to stop it is to back right off to 10 or 20mph.
This has happened on smooth roads as well as bumpy ones.
I did take the right front wheel off to adjust at the ball joint (slack) so that it would pass the MOT.
Any ideas what causes the shimmying and how to correct it?
Thanks.

How are the hubs? and are the spokes tight in there slots? You also have to ask are the wheels themselves true?
